SPECIAL MEETING
January 31,2013
A)Call to Order -The special meeting of the Waukee City Council was called to order by Mayor Pro
Tem Hughes at 5:00 p.m.in the Waukee City Council Chambers.
B)Roll Call-The following members were present:Council Members Shane Blanchard,Dan Dutcher
(via telephone),Shelly Hughes,Mike Watts (via telephone).Absent:Mayor William F.Peard,
Council Member Casey L.Harvey.
Also in attendance:Interim City Administrator Brad Deets.
C)Agenda Approval -Council Member Dutcher moved to approve the agenda;seconded by Council
Member Blanchard.Results of vote:Ayes:Blanchard,Dutcher,Hughes,Watts.Nays:None.
Absent:Harvey.Motion carried 4 -0 -1.
D)Action Items:
1)Motion:Consideration of approval of 12-month Class E Liquor License (LE)with
Carryout Wine,Carryout Beer and Sunday Sales privileges for Kum &Go,LC,d/b/a Kum
&Go #59 [400 Prairie Bluff Dr.]-Council Member Watts moved to approve the motion;
seconded by Council Member Blanchard.Results of vote:Ayes:Blanchard,Dutcher,Hughes,
Watts.Nays:None.Absent:Harvey.Motion carried 4 -0 -1.
2)Motion:Consideration of approval of an Iowa Retail Cigarette/Tobacco Permit for the
remainder of fiscal year 2013 for Kum &Go,LC,d/b/a Kum &Go #59 [400 Prairie Bluff
Dr.]-Council Member Blanchard moved to approve the motion;seconded by Council Member
Dutcher.Results of vote:Ayes:Blanchard,Dutcher,Hughes,Watts.Nays:None.Absent:
Harvey.Motion carried 4 -0 -1.
E)Comments
Adjournment -Council Member Watts moved to adjourn;seconded by Council Member Blanchard.
Ayes:All.Nays:None.Motion carried 4 -O.
