(A)Call to Order -The regular meeting of the Waukee City Council was called to order by Mayor
Peard at 5:31 p.m.in the Council Chambers at Waukee City Hall,230 W.Hickman Rd.

(C)Roll Call -The following members were present:Mayor William F.Peard;Council Members
Shane Blanchard,Brian Harrison,Shelly Hughes,Rick Peterson.Absent:Council Member
Casey L.Harvey.
Also present:City Administrator Tim Moerman,Director of Development Services Brad Deets,
Director of Public Works John Gibson,Director of Finance Linda Burkhart,Director of
Community and Economic Development Dan Dutcher,Parks and Recreation Director Matt
Jermier,Police Chief John Quinn,City Clerk Rebecca D.Schuett,City Attorney Steve Brick.

(F)Mayor's Report -Mayor Peard reported on upcoming SE L.A.Grant Pkwy.lane closures,
recent U.S.Census Bureau population estimates for Waukee,the 06/12 Public Safety Day and
06/27 -06/28 Bacoon Bike Ride.
(G)Presentations:
1)Proclamation:Declaring June 12,2014,as Waukee Public Safety Day-Mayor Peard
read the proclamation aloud and presented it to Police Chief Quinn.
(H)Public Hearings:
1)On the vacating of a portion of a Sanitary Sewer and Storm Sewer Easement [Prairie
Crossing Plat 1]-Mayor Peard opened the public hearing and asked if any written
correspondence had been received;City Clerk Schuett replied in the negative.Director of
Development Services Deets presented on the proposed easement vacation.No comments
were made by the public present.Mayor Peard declared the public hearing closed.

1)Resolution:Consideration of approval ofa resolution approving the vacating ofa
portion of a Sanitary Sewer and Storm Sewer Easement [Prairie Crossing Plat 1]-
