Pledge of Allegiance Roll Call —The following members were present:Mayor William F.Peard;Council Members Shane Blanchard,Casey L.Harvey,Shelly Hughes,Rick Peterson.Absent:Council Member Brian Harrison. Open Forum Agenda Approval —Council Member Blanchard moved to approve the agenda,tabling Consent Agenda item J1P until the September 8,2015,regular meeting of the Waukee City Council; seconded by Council Member Harvey.Results of vote:Ayes:Blanchard,Harvey,Hughes, Peterson.Nays:None.Absent;Harrison.Motion earned 4 —0 —1. Mayor's Report —Mayor Peard noted Waukee's 42"'place ranking in MONEY Magazine's 2015 list of "America's Best Places to Live."A reception in honor of Waukee Police Lt.Greg Breuer's retirement will be held 08/21.In light of Lt.Breuer's retirement,Sgt.Scott Cunningham has been promoted to lieutenant and Ofr.Mackenzie Sposeto will be promoted to sergeant.A promotion ceremony for Cunningham and Sposeto will be 09/08.All City offices will be closed 09/07 for Labor Day;the regular City Council meeting is rescheduled for 09/08.
