The units will be restricted to residents 62 years or older. The applicant plans to file for tax credits with the Iowa Finance Authority (IFA).The proposed rezoning ordinance includes a "sunset"clause that would allow the zoning to revert back to C-1 if the project does not move forward within one year.Council Member Harvey asked if the Council would be asked to waive the third reading;Mr.Deets replied in the affirmative, noting a 12/09 deadline for filing with IFA.No comments were made by the public present. 2)On an ordinance to amend Chapter 301,Zoning Ordinance,City of Waukee,to amend certain property therein from A-1 and COS to R-1,a parcel to be known as Brandon's Reserve —Mayor Peard opened the public hearing and asked if any written correspondence had been received;City Clerk Schuett replied in the negative.Director of Development Services Deets briefly reviewed the rezoning application.Due to the nature of the property, some of the proposed single family lots will have a dramatic fall-off from grade. The applicant plans to retain the existing pond and preserve as many mature trees as possible.
