AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 501,WAUKEE MUNICIPAL CODE,
REGARDING THK SPEED LIMIT ON SK WESTOWN PARKWAY WITHIN THE
CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA.
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee has determined tltrough a traffic study that a new speed
limit shall be iinplemented on certain portions of SE Westown Parkway within the City of Waukee.
BE IT THEREFORE ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Waukee:
Section I:Chapter 501,Waukee Municipal Code,Regulation of Traffic Upon and Use
of the Streets of Waukee,Iowa,is hereby amended by adding Section 501.9(F)(17)as follows:
(501.9(F)(17)The speed limit on SE Westown Parkway between SE LA Grant Parkway
and Grand Prairie Parkway shall be 35 miles per hour.
Section 2 Re ealer.All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions
of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3.Severabili Clause.If any section,provision or part of this ordinance shall
be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional,such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the
ordinance as a whole or any section,provisions or part thereof not adjudged invalid or
unconstitutional.
Section 4.Effective Date.This ordinance shall be in effect from and after its final
passage,approval and publication as provided by law.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,this 19 day of June,2017,and approved
this 19 'day of June,2017.
