AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 501)WAUKEE MUNICIPAL CODE)
REGARDING THE SPEED LIMIT ON GRAND PRAIRIE PARKWAY WITHIN THE
CITY LIMITS OF THK CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA.
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee has determined that the new street Grand Prairie Parkway
shall have a speed limit implemented within the City of Waukee.
BE IT THEREFORE ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Waukee:
Section 1:Chapter 501,Waukee Municipal Code,Regulation of Traffic Upon and Use
of the Streets of Waukee,Iowa,is hereby amended by adding Section 501.9(F)(14)and as
follows:
tj501.9(F)(14)The speed limit on Grand Prairie Parkway from University Avenue to the
city limits of West Des Moines shall be 45 miles per hour.
Section 2 Re ealer.All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions
of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 2.Severabili Clause.If any section,provision or part of this ordinance shall
be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional,such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the
ordinance as a whole or any section,provisions or part thereof not adjudged invalid or
unconstitutional.
Section 4.Effective Date.This ordinance shall be in effect from and after its final
passage,approval and publication as provided by law.
Passed by the Council this 21"day of December,2015,and approved this 21"day of December,
2015.
