AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 501,WAUKEE MUNICIPAL CODE,
REGARDING THE SPEED LIMIT ON S.E.LA GRANT PARKWAY WITHIN THE
CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,lOW A.
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee has determined that a new speed limit shall be
implemented on certain portions of S,E.LA Grant Parkway within the City of Waukee.
BE IT THEREFORE ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Waukee:
Section 1:Chapter 501,Waukee Municipal Code,Regulation of Traffic Upon and Use
of the Streets of Waukee,Iowa,is hereby amended by changing Sections 501.9(F)(l C)and
501.9(F)(6)(c)as follows:
§501.9(F)(IC)The speed limit on SE L.A Grant Parkway,also lmown as V Avenue,
from a point 1810 feet south of the middle of its intersection with Westown Parkway to the
n011h line of Ashworth Road,also lmown as 320'h Street,shall be 45 miles per hour.
§501.9(F)(6)(c)On SE L.A Grant Parkway from 125 feet n011h of the middle of its
intersection with Westown Parkway to a point 1890 feet south of the middle of its
intersection with Westown Parkway,
Section 2 Repealer.All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions
of this ordinance are hereby repealed,
Section 2.Severability Clause.If any section,provision or pall of this ordinance shall
be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional,such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the
ordinance as a whole or any section,provisions or part thereof not adjudged invalid or
unconstitutional.
Section 4.Effective Date.This ordinance shall be in effect from and after its final
passage,approval and publication as provided by law.
Passed by the Council the 16th day of December,2013,and approved this 16th day of December,
2013.
