AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 220,WAUKEE MUNICIPAL CODE,
HAZARDOUS MATERIALS REMOVAL AND CLEAN-UP,BY AMENDING SECTION
220.3(A),FIRE DEPARTMENT FEES,AS SPECIFIED BELOW
Section 1.Amendment.Chapter 220,Section 220.3(A),Waukee Municipal Code,City of
Waukee,Iowa,is hereby amended to read as follows:
A.The following fees will be assessed and collected by the City of Waukee from
persons having control over hazardous substances where such hazardous
substances have been spilled and the City of Waukee personnel have participated
in the clean-up:

Heavy Response Apparatus Engine,ladder,heavy rescue,$271.26
with 4 personnel grader,backhoe,dump truck,
endloader,sweeper,sewer jet,
etc.
Light Response Apparatus Tanker,brush truck,$217.01
with 2 personnel ambulance,staff car,pick-up
truck,generator,compressor,
related power equipment,etc.
Extra Response Personnel $38.00
(per person)
Expended Materials Foam,containment boons,Replacement
sand,absorbent,etc.cost,including
shipping
Equipment Repair and/or Personal protective Cost (parts plus
Cleaning equipment,hose,nozzles,labor),including
apparatus,etc.shipping
Damaged Equipment and/or May include injury to,Replacement
Property destruction of,or loss of and/or repair
natural resources,etc.cost,including
shipping
Other Contracted services,Bil1ed as used
contracted equipment,
evacuation of people,etc.
*Minirnum of one hour.Billed in 15-minute increments beyond the first hour.
Section 2.Repealer.Al1 ordinances OT parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions
of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3.Severability Clause.If any section,provision or part of tins ordinance shall be
adjudged invalid or unconstitutional,such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the ordinance
as a whole or any section,provision,or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.
Section 4.Effective Date.This ordinance shall be in effect upon its final passage,
approval and publication as provided by law.
Passed by the Council this 6th day of February,2012,and approved this 6th day of February,
2012.
