AN ORDINANCE REPEALING CHAPTER 801 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE
CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA,REGARDING ADOPTION OF IOWA STATE BUILDING
CODE,CHAPTER 803 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,
IOWA,REGARDING ADOPTION OF INTERNATIONAL FIRE CODE OF 2003 AND
LOCAL AMENDMENTS AND CHAPTER 804 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE
CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA,REGARDING AMENDMENTS TO UNIFORM
PLUMBING CODE
WHEREAS,the Waukee City Council on July 16,2012 adopted Ordinance 2714 which
included the adoption of the 2009 International Codes (I-CODESTM)along with local City
amendments which included provisions for the adoption of the 2009 International Fire Code and
2009 International Plumbing Code;and
WHEREAS,in order to avoid confusion and conflict the existing Chapters 801,803 and
804 of the Municipal Code of the City of Waukee,Iowa should be repealed.
BE IT THEREFORE ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Waukee:
Section 1.Chapters 801,803 and 804 of the Waukee Municipal Code are hereby
repealed.
Section 2 Repealer.All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions
of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3.Severability Clause.If any section,provision or part of this ordinance shall
be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional,such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the
ordinance as a whole or any section,provisions or part thereof not adjudged invalid or
unconstitutional.
Section 4.Effective Date.This ordinance shall be in effect from and after its fmal
passage,approval and publication as provided by law.
