REGARDING THE SPEED LIMIT ON SE L.A.GRANT PARKWAY WITHIN THE
CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA.
WHEREAS,a new school is being built within the City of Waukee on SE L.A.Grant
Parkway;AND
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee has determined that in accordance with Iowa Code a
school speed limit shall be implemented changing to their ordinance relative to speed l:i:mitson SE
L.A.Grant Parkway within the City of Waukee.
BE IT THEREFORE ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Waukee:
Section 1:Chapter 501,Waukee Municipal Code,Regulation of Traffic Upon and Use
of the Streets of Waukee,Iowa,is hereby amended by adding Section 501.9F(6)(c)as follows:
§501.9(F)(6)(c)On SE L.A.Grant Parkway from 125 feet north of the middle of its
intersection with Westown Parkway to a point 1,21 0 feet south of the middle of its
intersection with Westown Parkway.
Section 2 Repealer.All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions
of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3.Severability Clause.If any section,provision or part of this ordinance shall
be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional,such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the
ordinance as a whole or any section,provisions or part thereof not adjudged invalid or
unconstitutional,
Section 4.Effective Date.This ordinance shall be in effect from and after its final
passage,approval and publ:i:cation as provided by law.
Passed by the Council the 20th day of September,2010,and approved this 20th day of September,
2010.
