AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 501 OF THE WAUKEE MUNICIPAL CODE
REGARDING ONE-WAY STREETS AND ALLEYS
WHEREAS,the original Waukee Elementary School is not being utilized by the
Waukee Community Scbool District at tbis time as an active school;AND
WHEREAS,as a result of the change in activity at that site,traffic congestion and traffic
patterns have been reduced allowing for the restoration of two way traffic on Fourth Street south
of Locust Street to Northview Drive;AND
WHEREAS,the City has determined that there is no longer a need for a one-way street
on Fourth Street at that location,
BE IT THEREFORE ORDAINED by the City C0l111Cilof the City of Waukee:
Section 1:Section 501.13 of the Waukee Municipal Code is amended by repealing
subparagraph A(1)as follows:
1.Fourth Street southbound only from the south line of Locust Street to the North
line of Northview Drive from 7:30 A.M.to 4:30 P.M.,Monday through Friday
during the school year.
Section 2 Repealer.All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions
of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3.Severability Clause.If any section,provision or part of this ordinance shall
be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional,such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the
ordinance as a whole or any section,provisions or part thereof not adjudged invalid or
unconstitutional.
Section 4.Effective Date,This ordinance shall be in effect fr0111and after its final
passage,approval and publication as provided by law,
