AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 222.10,WAUKEE MUNICIPAL CODE,
INTERNATIONAL BUILDING CODES,AMENDMENTS,MODIFICATIONS,
ADDITIONS AND DELETIONS,AS SPECIFIED BELOW.
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee has determined a need to revise the provisions relative to
the use of plastic fittiugs with PEX piping materials within the City of Waukee.
BE IT THEREFORE ORDAINED by the City Council ofthe City of Waukee:
Section 1:Section 222.10 ofthe Waukee Municipal Code is amended by repealing
subparagraph D(3)as follows:
1.All fittings shall be the metal insert or metal compression style manufactured for
use with ASTM F 1961-99d or ASTM F 1974-99 and properly identified to
demonstrate the appropriate listing.
Section 2 Repealer.All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions
of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3.Severability Clause.If any section,provision or part of this ordinance shall
be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional,such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the
ordinance as a whole or any section,provisions or part thereof not adjudged invalid or
unconstitutional,
Section 4.Effective Date.TIllS ordinance shall be in effect from and after its final
passage,approval and publication as provided by law.
