AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 501,WAUKEE MUNICIPAL CODE,
REGARDING SPEED LIMIT ON 142nd STREET WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF THE
CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA.
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee has received a recommendation from Veenstra &Kimm,
Inc.regarding the speed limit on 142nd Street within the City limits ofthe City of Waukee;AND
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee has determined to implement changes to their ordinance
relative to speed limits on 142nd Street within the City ofWankee.
BE IT THEREFORE ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Waukee:
Section 1:Chapter SOl,Waukee Municipal Code,Regulation of Traffic Upon and Use
of the Streets of Waukee,Iowa,is hereby amended by adding Section 501.9F(12)as follows:
§501.9(F)(12)The speed limit on 142nd Street,from US Highway 6 south to University
Avenue,shall be 40 miles per hour.
Section 2 Repealer.All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions
of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 2.Severability Clause.If any section,provision or part of this ordinance shall
be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional,such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the
ordinance as a whole or any section,provisions or part thereof not adjudged invalid or
unconstitutional.
Section 4.Effective Date.This ordinance shall be in effect from and after its final
passage,approval and publication as provided by law.
