AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 106,WAUKEE MUNICIPAL CODE,
SETTING OF PLACES FOR PUBLIC POSTING,BY AMENDING SECTION 106.2 FOR
THE PURPOSE OF UPDATING THE LISTING OF PLACES FOR PUBLIC POSTING
OF AGENDAS OR OTHER PUBLIC NOTICES REQUIRED OR PERMITTED TO BE
POSTED BY LAW
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee has relocated its community center from 410 6th Street
to 445 Maple Street in Waukee;AND
WHEREAS,the City intends to continue the public posting of agendas or other public
notices as required by law at the 410 6th Street location.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Waukee
that the following should be and the same is hereby enacted as follows:
Section 1.Section 106.2 of Chapter 106,Waukee Municipal Code,Setting of Places for
Public Posting,is hereby amended as follows:
§106.2 Listing of Places of Posting and Length of Notice.The
three places where public notice of agendas and other matters permitted to be
posted to be displayed are:
Waukee City Hall
United States Post Office,Waukee,Iowa
410 6th Street,Waukee,Iowa
Agendas are to be posted minimally 24 hours prior to the meeting and may be
removed after the meeting for which the agenda is posted.Other notices must
remain posted for the length of time required by the notice;such notice to be
dated at the bottom of the first page of the notice as to when the notice may be
removed.
Section 2.Repealer.All ordinances or parts of ordinances III conflict with the
provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3.Severability Clause.If any section,provision or part of this ordinance shall
be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional,such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the
ordinance as a whole or any section,provisions or part thereof not adjudged invalid or
unconstitutional.
Section 4.Effective Date.This ordinance shall be in effect from and after its final
passage,approval and publication as provided by law.
Passed by the Council the 22nd day of September 2008,and approved this 22nd day of September
2008.
