AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 222.4(C)TO REMOVE LANGUAGE
CONCERNING THE WAIVER OF BUILDING PERMIT FEES FROM THE
ORDINANCE
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee desires to remove language from the ordinance
conceming the waiver of building permit fees.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Waukee section
222.4(C)should be and the same is hereby repealed and enacted in lieu thereof is as follows:
C.Add the following to Section RI08.2 Schedule of Penn it Fees:
TOTAL VALUATION FEE
$1.00 to $500 $15.00
$501 to $2,000 $15 for the first $500 plus $2 for each
additional $100 or fraction thereof,to and
including $2,000
$2,001 to $25,000 $45 for the first $2,000 plus $8 for each
additional $1,000 or fraction thereof,to and
including $25,000
$25,001 to $50,000 $229.00 for the first $25,000 plus $7.00 for
each additional $1,000 or fraction thereof,
to and including $50,000
$50,001 TO $100,000 $404 for the first $50,000 plus $5 for each
additional $1,000 or fraction thereof,to and
including $100,000
$100,001 TO $1,000,000 $654 for the first $100,000 plus $3 for each
additional $1,000 or portion thereof,to and
including $1,000,000
$1,000,001 and up $3,354 for the first $1,000,000 plus $2.50
for each additional $1,000 or fraction
thereof.

1.Fences $20.00
2.Signs (0-100 sq.ft.)$15.00 base plus
$0.25 per sq.ft.
3.Signs (101 sq.ft.and up)$40.00 base plus
$0.15 per sq.ft.
4.Storage Tanks $25.00 each for
installation or
removal
5.Temporary Structures (including tents,$25.00
canopies,membrane structures and similar
structures)
6.For use of outside consultants for plan Actual costs *
checking and inspections,or both

Effective Date
The provisions of this Ordinance shall become effective thirty (30)days after publication.
Passed by the Council this 17th day of October 2005 and approved this 17th day of October 2005.
