AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 500,SECTION 501.1S,WAUKEE
MUNICIPAL CODE,TRAFFIC ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA,BY
DELETING FROM SCHEDULE A THEREOF FOLLOWING THE WORDS,"STH STREET,
FROM THE SOUTH LINE OF ASHWORTH DRIVE TO THE NORTH LINE OF CHERRY
STREET,"THE WORDS,"EXCEPT AT LOCUST STREET.CHERRY STREET,FROM THE
WEST LINE OF SIXTH STREEET TO ITS END."AND BY INSERTING AFTER THE
WORDS,"CHERRY STREET,FROM THE WEST LINE OF 6THSTREET TO ITS TERMINUS
AT THE EAST LINE OF STH STREET,"THE WORD,"EXTENDED."CHAPTER 500,
SECTION 501.1S IS FURTHER AMENDED BY INSERTING AFTER "3-WAY STOP
INTERSECTIONS,"THE WORDS,"STH STREET AT CHERRY STREET;"AND BY
DELETING AFTER "4-WAY STOP INTERSECTIONS,THE WORDS,"STH STREET AT
LOCUST STREET."THE PURPOSE OF THIS ORDINANCE AMENDMENT IS TO MAKE
STH STREET A THROUGH STREET TO CHERRY STREET,AND CHERRY STREET A
THROUGH STREET TO STHSTREET.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Waukee:
Section 1.Chapter 500,Section 501.1S,Waukee Municipal Code,Traffic Ordinances of the
City of Waukee,Iowa,is hereby amended by deleting from Schedule A thereof following the
words,"Sth Street,from the South line of Ashworth Drive to the North line of Cherry Street,"the
words,"except at Locust Street.Cheny Street,from the West line of Sixth Street to its end."and J
by inserting after the words,"Cherry Street,from the West line of 6th Street to its terminus at the
East line of Sth Street,"the word,"extended."Chapter 500 Section SOLIS is further amended by
inserting after "3-Way Stop Intersections,"the words,"Sth Street and Cherry Street;"and by
deleting after "4-Way Stop Intersections,"the words,"Sth Street at Locust Street."
Section 2.Repealer.All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions
of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3.Severability Clause.If any section,provision or part of this ordinance shall be
adjudged invalid or unconstitutional,such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the ordinance
as a whole or any section,provision,or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.
Section 4.Effective Date.This ordinance shall be in effect upon its final passage,
approval and publication as provided by law.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,this 1st day of March 2004,and approved
this 1st day of March 2004.
