AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 500,SECTION 501.1S,WAUKEE
MUNICIPAL CODE,TRAFFIC ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,lOW A,BY
DELETING FROM SCfffiDUTJ'\A THEREOF "WALNUT STREET,FROM THE WEST LINE
OF 6TH STREET TO THE EAST LINE OF STHSTREET."CHAPTER 500,SECTION SIS IS
FURTHER AMENDED BY INSERTING AFTER "4-WAY STOP INTERSECTIONS,"THE
WORDS,"SrI!STREET AT WALNUT STREET."THE PURPOSE OF THIS ORDINANCE
AMENDMENT IS TO MAKE THE INTERSECTION OF EIGHTH STREET AND WALNUT
STREET,A 4-W AY STOP INTERSECTION.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Waukee:
Section 1.Chapter 500,Section 501.lS,Waukee Municipal Code,Traffic Ordinances of the
City of Waukee,Iowa,is hereby amended by deleting from Schedule A thereof "Walnut Street,
from the West line of 6th Street to the East line of Sth Street."Chapter 500,Section 518 is further
amended by inserting after "4-Way Stop Intersections,"the words,"Sth Street at Walnut Street,"
The purpose of this ordinance amendment is to make the intersection of Eighth Street and Walnut
Street,a 4-Way Stop Intersection.
Section 2.Repealer.All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions
of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3.Severability Clause.If ally section,provision or part of this ordinance shall be
adjudged invalid or unconstitutional,such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the ordinance
as a whole or ally section,provision,or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.
Section 4.Effective Date.This ordinance shall be in effect upon its final passage,
approval and publication as provided by law.
Passed by the City Council ofthe City of Waukee,Iowa,this 16th day of August 2004,and
approved this 16th day of August 2004.
