AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 301,SECTION 301.27D,WAUKEE
MUNICIPAL CODE,ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA,
RELATING TO OFF-STREET PARKING AREAS ESTABLISHED IN CERTAIN "R"
DISTRICTS BY DELETING THE WORDS "FNE (5)PERCENT"IN
SUBPARAGRAPHS 1 AND 2 THEREOF,AND INSERTING IN LIEU THEREOF
THE WORDS,"TEN (10)PERCENT"
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Waukee:
Section 1.Section 301.27D of Chapter 301,Waukee Municipal Code,Zoning
Ordinance of the City,relating to off-street parking areas
established in certain "R"Districts is amended by deleting the
words,"five (5)percent,"and inserting in lieu thereof the words,
"ten (10)percent,"so that paragraphs 1 and 2 thereof read as
follows:
1.No less than ten (10)percent shall be landscaped and continuously
maintained.
2.Planting along the perimeter of a parking area,whether required for screening
or general beautification will not be considered as part of the ten (10)percent
interior landscaping.
Section 2 Repealer.All ordinance or parts of ordinances in conflict with the
provisions of this ordinance arc hereby repealed.

Section 3 Severability Clause.If any section,provision or pari of this
ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional,such
adjudication shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as a
whole or any section,provision,or pari thereof not adjudged
invalid or unconstitutional.
Section 4 Effective Date.This ordinance shall be in effect upon its final
passage,approval and publication as provided by law.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,this 18th of March 2002,and
