AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 210,REGULATING AND LICENSING OF
PEDDLERS,SOLIClTORS AND TRANSIENT MERCHANTS IN THE CITY OF WAUKEE,
IOWA,BY ADDING TO SECTION 21 0.4 THE WORDS,"IF A RELIGIOUS,NON-PROFIT OR
CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION HAS AN ADDRESS WlTHIN THE ClTY OF WAUKEE,IT
SHALL BE EXEMPT FROM ALL OF THE PROVISIONS OF rms CHAPTER."
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Waukee:
Section 1.Chapter 210,Regulating and licensing of peddlers,solicitors and transient
merchants and to provide penalties for violations,Waukee Municipal Code,is hereby amended by
adding to 21 0.4,"If a religious,non-profit or charitable organization has an address within the City
of Waukee,it shall be exempt from all of the provisions ofthis chapter."
Section 2.Repealer.All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions
of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3.Severability Clause.If any section,provision or part of this ordinance shall be
adjudged invalid or unconstitutional,such adjudication shall not affect the validity ofthe ordinance
as a whole or any section,provision,or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.
Section 4.Effective Date.This ordinance shall be in effect upon its final passage,approval
and publication as provided by law.
