AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 205,SECTION 205.6,WAUKEE
MUNICIPAL CODE,OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA BY PROVIDING FOR AN
INCREASE IN BLS/ALS TRANSPORTS FROM $300.00 PER PATIENT TRANSPORTED TO
$400.00 PER PATIENT TRANSPORTED AND BY ADDING A FEE FOR NITROUS OXIDE,
IF REQUIRED PER PATIENT OF $50.00.
Section 1.Amendment.Chapter 205,Section 205.6,Waukee Municipal Code,City of
Waukee,Iowa,is hereby amended by increasing per patient transport fees for BLSI ALS Transports
from $300.00 to $400.00 and by adding a fee for nitrous oxide,if required,per patient of $50.00 so
that Section 205.6 reads:
§205.6 Charges for Ambulance Service.The Council of the City
of Waukee shall determine and set fees for ambulance service by the
Waukee Volunteer Fire department,which,until changed by the
Council,shall be the following:
BLS/ALS Transports -$400.00 per patient transported
Mileage -$7.00 per loaded mile per patient transported
Oxygen -$25.00 if required,per patient transported
Nitrous Oxide -$50.00 if required,per patient transported
Treat and Release -$150.00 per call ]
Section 2.Repealer.All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions
of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3.Severability Clause.If any section,provision or part of tins ordinance shall be
adjudged invalid or unconstitutional,such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the ordinance
as a whole or any section,provision,or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.
Section 4.Effective Date.This ordinance shall be in effect upon its final passage,
approval and publication as provided by law.
Passed by the Council this is"day of November 2002,and approved this 18th day of
November 2002.
