AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 501,WAUKEE MUNICIPAL CODE,
REGULATION OF 1RAFFIC UPON AND USE OF THE STREETS OF WAUKEE,IOWA,BY
AMENDING SECTION 501.9(F),TO ESTABUSH A SPEED LIMIT OF 35 MILES PER HOUR
FOR VEmCULAR TRAFFIC ON THE WEST HALF OF ALICE'S ROAD,ALSO KNOWN AS
R-30,BETWEEN THE NORTHERN LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE AND THE NORTH
UNE OF DOUGLAS AVENUE,EXTENDED,AND TO ESTABUSH A SPEED LIMIT OF 45
MILES PER HOUR FOR VEmCULAR 1RAFFIC ON AUCE'S ROAD FROM THE NORTH
UNE OF DOUGLAS A VENUE,EXTENDED,TO THE NORTH UNE OF mCKMAN ROAD,
ALSO KNOWN AS mGHW AY 6,WITmN THE CITY OF WAUKEE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Waukee:
Section 1.Amendment,Chapter 501,Waukee Municipal Code,Regulation of Traffic
Upon and Use of the Streets of Waukee,Iowa,Section 501.9(F)(5),is hereby deleted,and the
following is inserted in lieu thereof:
Section 501.9F(9)(5)Speed limit on Alice's Road,also known as R·30.
Notwithstanding the foregoing provisions,the speed limit on the west half of
Alice's Road,also known as R-30,from the northern city limits of Waukee,to the
north line of Douglas Avenue,extended,is 35 miles per hour;and the speed limit
from the north line of Douglas Avenue,extended,to the north line of Hickman
Road,also known as Highway 6,is 45 miles per hour on both sides of said Alice's
Road within the city limits of the city of Waukee.
And said section of the Waukee Municipal Code may be cited as §501.9F(9)(5).
Section 2.Repealer.All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions
of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3.Severabi!ity.If any section,provision or part of this ordinance shall be
adjudged invalid or unconstitutional,such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the ordinance
as a whole or any section,provision,or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.
Section 4.Effectjve Date.This ordinance shall be in effect upon its final passage,
approval and publication as provided by law.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Wau ,Iowa,on this 17 day of April,2000,and
approved this 17 day of April,2000.

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 500,SECTION 501.28,WAUKEE
MUNICIPAL CODE,TRAFFIC ORDINANCES,LOAD RESTRICTIONS,OF THE CITY
OF WAUKEE,IOWA,BY DELETING SAID SECTION AND INSERTING IN LIEU
THEREOF SECTION 501.28 PROVIDING THAT WHEN SIGNS ARE ERECTED
GIVING NOTICE THEREOF,NO PERSON SHALL OPERATE ANY VEHICLE WITH A
GROSS WEIGHT IN EXCESS OF THE AMOUNTS SPECIFIED ON SUCH SIGNS AT
ANY TIME UPON ANY STREETS OR PARTS OF STREETS IN THE CITY OF
WAUKEE WHEN SUCH VEHICLES HAVE A GROSS WEIGHT OF 40,000 LBS.OR
MORE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Waukee:
Section 1.Chapter 500,Section 501.28,Load Restrictions
Upon Vehicles Using Certain Streets,Waukee Municipal Code,
Traffic Ordinances,Truck Routes,of the City of Waukee,Iowa,is
hereby amended by deleting said section and inserting in lieu
thereof the following:
Section 501.28.Load Restrictions
Upon Vehicles Using Certain Streets.When
signs are erected giving notice thereof,no
person shall operate any vehicle with a gross
weight in excess of the amounts specified on
such signs at any time upon any streets or
parets of streets in the City of Waukee when
such vehicles have a gross weight of 40,000
lbs.or more.
