AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND §803 UNIFORM FiRE COPE AND THE
UNiFORM FiRE CODE STANDARDS ADOPTED BY REFERENCE AND MADE A
PART OF THE WAUKEE MUNiCIPAL CODE,BY DELETING §6105.3,AND
INSERTING IN LIEU THEREOF "THE USE OF USTED PORTABLE UNVENTED
OlL-BURINING HEATING APPLiANCES SHALL BE LIMITED TO
SUPPLEMENTAL HEATING IN GROUP U OCCUPANCIES ONLY."
Section 1.§803 Uniform Fire code and the Uniform Fire Code Standards
adopted by reference and made a part of the Waukee Municipal Code,is hereby
amended by deleting §6105.3,and inserting in lieu thereof the following:
§6105.3 Location.The use of listed portable unvented oil-bunting heating
appliances shall be linJited to supplemental heating in Group U Occupancies only.
Section 2.Repealer.In any case where the provisions of this ordinance,
the Uniform Fire Code,or other ordinances of the City of Waukee,shall be found to be in
conflict,and in which statutes of the State of Iowa do not control,the provision which
establishes the higher standard for the promotion and protection of the safety of persons
and property shall prevail.
Section 3.Severability Clause.If any section,provision or part of this
ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional,such adjudication shall not affect
the validity of the ordinance as a whole or any section,provision,or part thereof not
adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.
Section 4.Effective Date.This ordinance shall be in effect upon its
final passage,approval and publication as provided by law.
Passed by the Council this 10th day of July,2000,and approved this 10th day of
July,2000.
