TO BE CHARGED BY THE WATER WORKS OPERATED BY THE CITY OF WAUKEE,
lOW A,BY AMENDING RATES CHARGED FOR WATER USAGE IN EXCESS OF THE
MINlMUM (1,000 GALLONS)TO LOWER SAID RATES FROM $5.90 PER 1,000
GALLONS TO $5.40 PER 1,000 GALLONS
Section 1.Amendment.Section 203.3,Waukee Municipal Code is hereby
amended by deleting from the second subparagraph thereof,"5.90 per 1,000 gallons per month,"
and inserting in lieu thereof,"5.40 per 1,000 gallons per month."so that Section 203.2 shall read:
203.2.Water Rates.Water shall be furnished at the following monthly rates per meter
within the city limits:
A minimum monthly bill of $7.95 shall be charged for zero to 1,000 gallons of metered
water usage per month.
Water usage in excess of the minimum (1,000 gallons)will be charged at a rate of $5.40
per 1,000 gallons per month.
All users outside the city limits of Waukee will be charged $12.00 for zero to 1,000
gallons of metered water usage per month,and $8.63 per 1,000 gallons per month in
excess of the first 1,000 gallons.
Water will not be fumished outside of the limits of Waukee without consent of Des
Moines Water Works.]
Section 2.Repealer.All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the
provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3.Severability Clause.If any section,provision or part of this ordinance
shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional,such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the
ordinance as a whole or any section,provision,or part thereof not adjudged invalid or
unconstitutional.
Section 4.Effective Date.This ordinance shall be in effect upon it final passage,
approval and publication as provided by law.
Passed by the Council this 21"day of August,2000,and approved this 21"day of
