HomeMy WebLinkAbout1999-05-17-Ordinance 2285_Criminal Code, Unlawful AssemblyORDINANCE NO.2285 AN ORDINANCE DEFINING THE CRIME OF UNLAWFUL ASSEMBLY,AND PROVIDING THE PUNISHMENT THEREFOR. UNLAWFUL ASSEMBLY §609.1 Unlawful Assembly.An unlawful assembly is three or more persons assembled together,with them or any of them acting in a violent manner,and with intent that they or any of them will commit a public offense.A person who willingly joins in or remains a part of an unlawful assembly,knowing or having reasonable grounds to believe that it is such,commits a simple misdemeanor. §609.2 misdemeanor. Violations.Violation of any provision of this chapter is a simple §609.3 Repealer.All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. §609.4 Severablity Clause.If any section,provision or part of this ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional,such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as a whole or any section,provision,or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.]§609.5 Effective Date.This ordinance shall be in effect upon its final passage,approval and publication as provided by law.
