AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 502.5,502.6 &502.7,WAUKEE
MUNICIPAL CODE,BY DELETING SAID SECTION AND PLACING IN LIEU
THEREOF SECTION 502.5,502.6 &502.7 AS REVISED TO INCLUDE
PROHIBITION OF PARKING ON CERTAIN PARTS OF LOCUST STREET,
LAUREL STREET,WARRIOR LANE AND WINDFIELD P ARKWA Y.
Section 1.Purpose.The purpose of this ordinance is to prohibit parking on
certain parts of Locust Street,Laurel Street,Warrior Lane and Windfield so as to provide
for safe passage along said public right-of-way.
Section 2.This ordinance shall provide for the deletion of Section 502.5 and
placing in lieu thereof the following:
§502.5
east-west streets:
No parking is permitted at any time on either side of the following
Ashworth Drive:
see §502.8
Cherry Street
Corene Avenue:
from First Street Place to Christopher Avenue
Laurel Street:
east of Warrior see §502.6 &§502.7
Locust Street
see §502.6,§502.7 &§502.8.
University Avenue
Section 3.This ordinance shall provide for the deletion of Section 502.6 and
placing in lieu thereof the follow:

east-west streets:
No parking is permitted on the north side of the following
Ashland Court
Bel-Aire Drive
Corene Avenue
Gray Avenue
Hawthorne Ridge Drive
Laurel Street:
from Fourth Street to Warrior Lane between the hours of
6:00 a.m.and 6:00 p.m.Monday -Friday see §502.5 &
§502.7
Locust Street:
from Third Street to Windfield Parkway between the hours
of 6:00 a.m.to 6:00 p.m.Monday -Friday see §502.5,
§502.7 &§502.8.IMapleStreet:
see §502.7 and §502.8.
NorthviewDrive:
see §502.8.
Olson Drive
Terrace Drive
Venture Drive
Windfield Parkway:
from Locust Street to Warrior Lane between 6:00 a.m.to
6:00 p.m.Monday -Friday see §502.7
Woodcrest Drive
Section 4.This ordinance shall provide for the deletion of Section 502.7 and
placing in lieu thereof the follow:

west streets:
No parking is permitted on the south side of the following east-
Christopher Avenue
Laurel Street:
see §502.5 &§502.6
Locust Street:
see §502.5,§502.6 &§502.8.
Maple Street:
parking prohibited on the south side of from Seventh Street
to Tenth Street,see §502.8.
Marshall Drive
Northview Drive:
see §502.8.
Parlcview Drive
Southview Drive
Sunrise Drive
Walnut Street:
see §502.8 and §502.9.
Waukee Avenue
Windfield Parkway:
from Locust Street to Warrior Lane see §502.6
Section 5.Repealer.All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with
the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

Section 6.Severability Clause.If any section,provision or part of tins
ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional,such adjudication shall not affect
the validity of the ordinance as a whole or any section,provision,or part thereof not
adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.
Section 7.Effective Date.Tills ordinance shall be in effect upon its final
passage,approval and publication as provided by law.

St.,and Windfield Parkway.Councilman Lyon,introduced an Ordinance to amending
Sections 502.5,502.6 and 502.7,Waukee Municipal Code,by deleting said section and
placing in lieu thereof Section 502.5,502.6 and 502.7 as revised to include prohibition of
parking on certain parts of Locust Street,Laurel Street,Warrior Lane and Windfield
Parkway.
June 7,1999 -Ordinance Prohibiting Parking on certain parts of Laurel St.,Locust
St.,and Windfield Parkway.Motion by Councilman Lyon,seconded by Councilman
Peard,to have the ordinance read for the first time in titIe only.The Mayor asked for a
roll call vote:Ayes:Lyon,Peard,Gruber,and Berger,Nays:None.Motion carried 4 to
O.
June 7,1999 -Ordinance Prohibiting Parking on certain parts of Laurel St.,Locust
St.,and Windfield Parkway.Motion by Councilman Lyon,seconded by Councilman
Peard,to waive the second and third readings.The Mayor asked for a roll call vote:
Ayes:Lyon,Peard,Berger,and Gruber.Nays:None.Motion carried 4 to O.
June 7,1999 -Ordinance No.2296.Prohibiting Parking on certain parts of Laurel
St.,Locust St.,and Windfield Parkway.Motion Councilman Gruber,seconded by
Councilman Lyon,to place the ordinance on final passage.The Mayor asked for a roll
call vote:Ayes:Gruber,Lyon,Berger,and Peard.Nays:None.Motion carried 4 to O.
