LIMIT FROM 35 MPH TO 25 MPH ON ASHWORTH ROAD BETWEEN WARRIOR LANE
AND UNIVERSITY WHEN VARIABLE DISPLAY SPEED SIGNS ARE POSTED AND
BEACONS ARE IN OPERATION.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Waukee:
Section 1.Amendment.Section 50 1.9(F)Waukee Municipal Code is hereby amended
by adding subsection 6 as follows:
The maximum speed limit with the variable display speed limit signs and
beacons in operation shall be 25 mph.The maximum speed limit with variable
display speed limit signs and beacons not activated shall be 35 mph.The hours
of operation shall be established by the Waukee Police Department.

Section 2.Repealer,All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the
provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3.Severability Clause.If any section,provision or part of tbis ordinance
shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional,such adjudication shall not affect
the validity of the ordinance as a whole or any section,provision,or part
thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.
Section 4.Effective Date.This ordinance shall be in effect upon its final passage,
approval and publication as provided by law.
Passed by the Council tbis 20th day of April,1998,and approved this 20th
day of April,1998.
