AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 301,WAUKEE MUNICIPAL
CODE,ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,lOW A,BY
AMENDING SECTION 301.22,"M-l"LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT,TO
ADD METAL FABRICATORS MEETING CERTAIN RESTRICTIONS TO
THE PERMITTED USES IN M-l DISTRICTS.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Waukee:
Section 1.Section 301.22 A of Chapter 301,Waukee Municipal Code,Zoning
Ordinance of the city,is hereby amended by adding Section 11 which shall read as follows:
301.22 A

"Light Metal Fabrication Facility"-fabrication of metal using modern
technology,such as lasers and computer numerically controlled
equipment,and in which there is no heavy type of processing such as
punch presses,stamping,shearing,casting,forging,01"iron workers.
Within 30 feet of the structure containing such facility,noise shall not,
at any time,exceed 65 decibles.
Repealer.All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions
of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Severability Clause.If any section,provision or part of this ordinance shall
be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional,such adjudication shall not affect the
validity ofthe ordinance as a whole or any section,provision,or part thereof
not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.
Effective Date.This ordinance shall be in effect upon its final passage,
approval and publication as provided by law.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,the 14th day of September,1998,
and approved this 14th day of September,1998.~_
