AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 203.2,PROVIDING FOR WATER RATES
TO BE CHARGED BY THE WATER WORKS OPERATED BY THE CITY OF WAUKEE,
IOWA,BY AMENDING RATES CHARGED PERSONS OUTSIDE THE CITY LIMITS OF
WAUKEE,AND PROVIDING FOR CONSENT OF DES MOINES WATER WORKS FOR
SERVICE OUTSIDE THE CITY LIMITS.
Section 1.Amendment.Section 203.2,Waukee Municipal Code
is hereby amended by deleting therefrom the words,"All users
outside the City of Waukee will be charged $30.00 per month minimum
and two times the above designated rates per meter,"and inserting
in lieu thereof,"All users outside the city limits of Waukee will
be charged $30.00 per month minimum and 150%of the above desig-
nated rates per meter,"so that Section 203.2 shall read:
§203.2.Water Rates.Water shall be furnished
at the following monthly rates per meter within
the city limits:
First 2,000 gallons or
lesser amount per month
Allover 2,000 gallons
$15.00 per month
(minimum monthly bill)
$6.40 per 1000 gallons
per month
All users outside the city limits of Waukee
will be charged $30.00 per month minimum and
150%of the above designated rates per meter:
Water will not be furnished outside the limits
of Waukee without consent of Des Moines Water
Works.
Section 2.Repealer.All ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby
repealed.
Section 3.Severability Clause.If any section,prov~s~on
or part of this ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitu-
tional,such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the
ordinance as a whole or any section,provision,or part thereof not
adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.
Section 4.Effective Date.This ordinance shall be in effect
upon its final passage,approval and publication as provided by
law.
Passed by t.he Council this 15th day of August ,1994,and
approved this ~day of .~..vv~,1994.
