AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 203 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA,BY ADDING §2 0 3.6,TO PROVIDE FOR
TERMINATION OF WATER SERVICE AND RECONNECTION CHARGES IN EVENT THE
SEAL ON A WATER METER IS BROKEN,OR IN EVENT THAT THE METER IS
TAMPERED WITH.
Section 1.Chapter 203 of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Waukee,Iowa,is hereby amended by adding thereto §203.6 as
follows:
§203.6.If any water meter of the City of Waukee shall have
been tampered with,or if the seal thereon shall have been
broken,water service to the premises served by the meter
shall be suspended immediately,and shall not again be
restored until the owner of the premises shall have paid to
the City of Waukee,in addition to any charges for water used
and measured and all other charges previously made,the sum
of $250.00 as liquidated damages for wa t e r used and not
measured,together with any costs of the repair and reinstall-
ation of the meter.
