AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 211,WAUKEE,MUNICIPAL CODE.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING REGULATIONS GOVERNING MUNICIPAL WATER SYSTEM
CONNECTIONS AND SERVICES OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA,TO PROVIDE
FOR CONNECTION FOR SWIMMING POOLS,IRRIGATIONS OF YARDS,GARDENS
AND OTHER USES.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Waukee:
Section 1.Section 211.8 of Chapter 211,Waukee Municipal
Code,is hereby amended by adding the following:
Permits may be issued,upon payment of fees and at such
rates as may be set by the council by ordinance or
resolution,for connection to the public water system for
swimming pools,irrigation of yards,gardens and other
uses for which sanitary sewer service charges are not
applicable.A back flow preventer to protect against
contamination of the water system shall be installed in
such connections on the hose bib.No underground
irrigation systems are to be allowed in the public right-
of-way or public lands.
Section 2.Effective Date.This ordinance shall be in effect
after its final passage,approval,and publication as required by
law.
Passed by the Council the 12th day of March,1991,and approved
this 12th day of March,1991.
