AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 201,WAUKEE,MUNICIPAL CODE.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING 201.1(I)OF THE GAS BUILDING CODE OF THE CITY
OF WAUKEE,IOWA,BY ADDING AN EXEMPTION FROM REQUIREMENTS OF A
STEAM FITTER'S LICENSE FOR THE CITY OF WAUKEE,ITS AGENTS,SERVANTS
OR EMPLOYEES.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Waukee:
Section 1.Section 201.1(I)of Chapter 201 Waukee Municipal
Code,is hereby amended by deleting the following paragraph:
"There is one exception for which a Gas Fitter's license
is NOT MANDATORY.This is as follows:The property owner
may perform in the installation,replacement or repair
of such person own consumer gas piping or the connection,
installation repair or servicing of such person own gas
appliances on such person own property."
and inserting in lieu thereof as follows:
"There are two exceptions for which a Gas Fitter's
license is NOT MANDATORY.
(1)No such license shall be required for the City
of Waukee,its agents,servants or employees;
and
(2)The property owner may perform in the
installation,replacement or repair of such
person's own consumer gas piping or the
connection,installation,repair or serv~c~ng
of such person's own gas appliances on such
person's own property."
Section 2.Effective Date.This ordinance shall be in effect
after its final passage,approval,and publication as required by
law.
