HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984-04-10-Ordinance 2036_Rezoning, Unnamed PropertyORDINANCE NO.2036 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING OF CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF WAUKEE,IOWA,FROM R-2 (ONE AND TWO FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT)TO C-l (COMMUNITY- COMMERCIAL DISTRICT)1 OTHER PROPERTY FROM C-l (COMMUNITY- COMMERCIAL DISTRICT)TO R-2 (ONE AND TWO FAMILY RESIDENT- IAL DISTRICT)l OTHER PROPERTY FROM R-2 (ONE AND TWO FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT)TO R-3 (MULTI-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT)TO R-2 (ONE AND TWO FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT)1 AND PROVIDING FOR THE AMENDMENT OF THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP AND THE REPUBLICATION OF SAID MAP TO REFLECT SAID ZONING CHANGES. BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Waukee: Section 1.Property Rezoned. A.The zoning ordinance of the following des- cribed real estate shall be changed from R-2 (One and Two-Family Residential District)to C-l (Community/Commercial District): "Beginning at a point 502 feet West of the Northeast corner of Section 33,T7 9N,R26W (located on the cen- terline of East Street)1 thence West 2,321 feet to the centerline of Fourth Streetl thence South along the centerline of Fourth Street,462 feet to the centerline of Laurel st r e e t r thence East,2,321 feet;thence North 462 feet to the point of beginning. All of the above described area being in the North 1/2 of Section 33,T79N, R26W,Dallas County,Iowa." B.The zoning ordinance of the following des- cribed real estate shall be changed from C-l (Community/Commercial District)to R-2 (One and Two-Family Residential District): "The North 462 feet of the East 502 feet of the Northwest 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 33,T79N,R26W,Dallas County, Iowa.II c--- C.The zoning ordinance of the following des- cribed real estate shall be changed from R-2 (One and Two-Family Residential District)to R-3 (Multi-Family Residential District): "Beginning at a point of the center- line of Fourth Street,462 feet South of the North section line of Section 33,T79N,R26W;thence South along the centerline of Fourth Street,40 feet;thence East 375 feet;thence North,40 feet;thence West,375 feet to the point of be- ginning.All of the previously des- cribed land lying within the North 1/2 of Section 33,T79N,R26W, Dallas County,Iowa." This parcel of land represents the South 1/2 of the right-of-way of Laurel Street extended East for a distance of 375 feet from the centerline of Fourth Street. D.The zoning ordinance of the following described real estate shall be changed from R-3 (Multi-Family Residential District)to R-2 (One and Two-Family Residential District): "The West 334 feet of the East 960 feet of the North 190 feet of the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter,Section 33,Township 79 North,Range 26 West of the 5th P.M. in the City of Waukee,Dallas County, Iowa,containing 1.46 acres more or less.1I Section 2.The official zoning map shall be amended to reflect this change. Section 3.Effective Date.This ordinance shall be in eff~ct after its final passage,approval,and publi- cation as required by law.
