ORDINANCE NO.2037
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 202,WAUKEE MUNICIPAL
CODE,ESTABLISHING RATES FOR GAS FURNISHED USERS BY THE
MUNICIPAL GASWORKS DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM BY THE CITY OF
WAUKEE,IOWA,by including a provision for the installa-
tion of gas-meter extensions at the expense of property
owners where the meter is inaccessible to the meter
reader.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Waukee:
Section 1.Chapter 202 is amended by inserting after
Section 202.2 the following paragraph and renumbering
Sections 202.3,202.4,202.5 and 202.6,to 202.4,202.5,
202.6 and 202.7,respectively:
§202.3.Installation of Gas Meter
Extensions.When in the opinion of the
City Clerk,a meter is inaccessible to the
reader because of location,prohibited
entry due to animals or barriers,or any
other reason,the City Clerk may cause to
be installed a gas meter extension and
shall charge the cost of said gas meter
extension and the installation thereof to
the user.
Section 2.Effective Date.This ordinance shall
be in effect after its final passage,approval,and publi-
cation as required by law.
Passed by the Council the 8th day of May,1984,and
