HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984-09-11-Ordinance 2045_Zoning Regulations, Front Yard DefinitionORDINANCE NO.2045 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 301,WAUKEE MUNICIPAL CODE,ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA,TO FURTHER DEFINE THE FRONT YARD OF A CORNER LOT BY INSERTING FOLLOWING THE FIRST SENTENCE IN DEFINITION,"YARD,FRONT", THE FOLLOWING:"THE NARROW FRONTAGE ON A CORNER LOT IS CONSIDERED THE FRONT LOT LINE REGARDLESS OF WHERE THE BUILDING ENTRANCE IS LOCATED." BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Waukee: Section 1.Section 301.3 of Chapter 301 Waukee Muni- cipal Code,Zoning Ordinance of the City,is hereby amend- ed by inserting following the first sentence in Definition "Yard,Front","The Narrow Frontage on a Corner Lot is considered the front lot line regardless of where the building entrance is located,"so that said definition will read as follows: §301.3 YARD,FRONT.A yard extending across the full width of the lot and measured between the front lot line and the front of the build ing other than the proj ec- tion of the usual steps or unenclosed porches.The Narrow Frontage on a Cor- ner Lot is considered the front lot line regardless of where the building en- trance is located.See "Yard"for eave or overhang limitations.
