ADOPTION OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF 1981 AS THE MUNICIPAL
CODE FOR THE CITY OF WAUKEE,AND REPEALING ALL GENERAL
ORDINANCES IN EFFECT PRIOR TO MAY 4,1981,UNLESS SAVED
HEREIN.

Be It Ordained by the Council of The City of Waukee,
§102.1.Adoption.Pursuant to published notice
in accordance with state law and public hearing held on the
4th day of May,1981,hereon,the City Council does hereby
adopt the 1981 Revised Ordinances of 1981 as the municipal
code of the municipal corporation of the City of Waukee,
Iowa.
§102.2.Official Copy.An official copy,bear-
ing the signature of the mayor and certificate of the City
Clerk as to its adoption and publication is on file in the
office of the City Clerk,together with standard codes
adopted by reference in this code.
§102.3.Public Copies.Loose-leaf copies of
this code shall be kept in the City Clerk's office available
for public inspection and for sale at cost to the public.
§102.4.Distribution.Copies of this

Library,one copy in the Waukee Library,one
(Dallas County News)and one copy with the
station.

§102.5.Title and Scope.This code of revised
ordinances of the City of Waukee containing chapters 1 to 7,
inclusive,shall be treated and considered as a new and
comprehensive original ordinance which shall completely
supersede (the Waukee Revised Ordinances of 1981 and)all
other general ordinances passed by the City Council prior to
the fourth day of May,1981,except as are expressly saved
from repeal herein.This revision may be cited by the short
title "Waukee Municipal Code"for the purpose of prosecution
in the courts.
§102.6.Amendments.All general ordinances of
the City Council passed hereafter shall be in the form of an
addition or amendment to the Waukee Revised Ordinances of
1981 and shall include proper references to chapter and
section to maintain the orderly codification of ordinances.

§102.7.Repealer and Saving Clause.All general
ordinances or parts thereof adopted before the 4th day of
May,1981,and not included in this code are repealed but
such repeal shall not affect any act done,any right accrued,
accuring,or established,the tenure or emoluments of office
of any person holding office at the time these ordinances
take effect,or any forfeiture or penalty heretofore incurred
under or by virtue of any prior existing ordinance,nor any
prosecution,suit,or proceeding pending at the time of such
repeal.
§102.8.Effective Date.This ordinance and
adopted code shall be in full force and effect from and after
the passage and approval and publication of this ordinance,
as provided by law.
