ORDINANCE NO.2014
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 206,WAUKEE,MUNICIPAL
CODE,Providing for the Appointment,Powers and Duties of
a Board of Library Trustees,by providing that the terms
of members of such board shall be 3 years rather than 6
years.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Waukee:
Section 1.Section 206.4 A.of Chapter 206 Waukee
Municipal Code,providing for the appoinment,powers and
duties of a Board of Library Trustees,is hereby amended
by substituting for the words "six (6)years"in the
second line thereof the words "three (3)years"so that
the ordinance is amended to read as follows:
§206.4 Organization of the Board.
A.Terms of Office.All appointments to the
board shall be for three (3)years,except
to fill vacancies.Each term shall commence
on JUly first.Appointments shall be made
every two (2)years of one-third of the
total number as near as possible,to stagger
the terms.The present incumbents are
