Code Compliance Officer Paul Carpenter told her that she would need to reach out to the council about the matter. (Council Member Bergman began participating electronically at 5:33 p.m.) Council Member Lyon asked if the City informed her that she was in violation of City code; Ms. Jarecki replied that she was asked by the City to provide the animals' registration as emotional support animals in response to a complaint from a neighbor. She was told by the City that porcine animals are not allowed via ordinance. Development Services Director Deets confirmed that the City ordinance does not allow pigs in residential zoning. City Attorney Brick noted that the council could either enforce the ordinance as written or modify the ordinance to allow the animals.
