RESOLUTION 08-217
APPROVING OF NAMING OF THE COMMUNITY CENTER LOCATED AT
445 MAPLE ST.
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized
Municipal Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,on July 21,2008,the Waukee City Council approved a Lease Agreement
with Boniface Properties LLC for the building located at 445 Maple Street for use as a
community center (Resolution #08-181);AND,
WHEREAS,in order to avoid confusion with the building's former designation as the
St.Boniface Church Hall or with the former community center at 410 6th St.,City staff
recommends the naming of the community center at 445 Maple St.;AND,
WHEREAS,after consideration,it is the desire of the Waukee City Council to name
said building the "Maple Street Community Center."
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,
Iowa on this 8th day of September 2008 that the building located at 445 Maple St.shall
hereby be known as the Maple Street Community Center pending approval of the
property owner,and that signage shall be installed on the exterior of the building which
includes the new name.
