RESOLUTION 08-220
AMENDING ESTABLISHED FEES AND CHARGES FOR USE OF THE CITY OF
WAUKEE COMMUNITY CENTER(S)
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee maintains community center(s)for use by the public;AND,
WHEREAS,on August 18,2008,the Waukee City Council approved a resolution establishing
fees and charges for use of the City of Waukee community center(s)(Resolution #08-198);
AND,
WHEREAS,City staff has since met with persons representing groups that use the community
center(s)on a regularly scheduled basis;AND,
WHEREAS,said persons request that an additional,discounted fee structure be added for
routine users of the community center(s)that do not meet the criteria for the waiving of fees as
established by the City Council in Resolution #08-198.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa
that the fees and charges for the use of the City's community center(s)shall be amended to read
as follows:

Deposit $150 $300
Routine shall be defined,as those users that schedule use of the facility for at least four
consecutive separate uses and pay a deposit equal to the normal deposit plus the applicable rate
for the two uses qualifying them as routine.That deposit shall be held by the City in cash
securing damage as well as the routine usage rates for times scheduled by applicant.In the event
that a scheduled time is cancelled or not otherwise used by applicant,the entire deposit will be
forfeited and any existing routine usage scheduled by any such applicant will be cancelled
without further notice to applicant.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution 08-214 passed September 8,2008 is hereby
repealed and of no further effect being replaced with the Resolution.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,and approved this the 22nd day of
September,2008.
