RESOLUTION 08-226
APPROVING THE GASB 45 OPEB ACTUARIAL SERVICES PROPOSAL
FROM GALLAGHER BENEFIT SERVICES,INC
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,The City of Waukee is required to implement GASB Statement 45 Other
Post Employment Benefits (OPEB)by June 30,2009;AND,
WHEREAS,Gallagher Benefit Services has submitted a proposal for the required
actuarial services,and will complete the valuation report prior to the end of the current
fiscal year to meet the required deadline;AND,
WHEREAS,Gallagher Benefit Services is providing a valuable service at a fair and
reasonable rate not to exceed $5,500.00 for actuarial services,plus travel expenses if
required;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 6th day of October 2008 that it hereby approves and accepts the proposal from
Gallagher Benefit Services for actuarial services to meet the GASB 45 OPEB
requirements prior to June 30,2009.
