RESOLUTION 08-235
RESOLUTION SETTING A DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING PURSUANT TO
CHAPTER 6B OF THE TOW A CODE PERTAINING TO THE WRA SOUTH OUTFALL
SEWER
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,Iowa Code Chapter 6B provides a procedure for agencies to follow to acquire
property for public improvements through eminent domain;AND
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Waukee desires to hold a hearing to provide an
opportunity for public input relative to its consideration on how to proceed with the WRA South
Outfall Sewer pursuant to Iowa Code Chapter 6B.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee,Iowa a public hearing
pursuant to Iowa Code Chapter 6B shall be held at 7:00 p.m.on December I,2008 at Waukee
City Hall concerning the WRA South Outfall Sewer in accordance with the requirements of
Chapter 6B of the Iowa Code after which the City Council of the City of Waukee will consider
the adoption of a resolution concerning the proposed public improvement,location of said
improvement and the acquisition of right-of-way and any other matters required under Iowa law.
The City Administrator is directed to send notice of the public hearing to potential affected
property owners and to publish said notice as required by law.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,and approved this the 20th day of
October,2008.
