RESOLUTION 08-266
APPROVING A TECHNICAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH BLACK HILLS
RNRRGY/IOWA GAS UTILITY COMPANY,LLC,RELATED TO THE GRANGER
NATURAL GAS EXTENSION PROJECT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State oflowa,is a duly organized
Municipal Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,on March 19,2007,the Waukee City Council approved plans and specifications
for the Granger Natural Gas Extension Project (Resolution #07-55)and awarded the contract
for said project to Aquila,Inc.(Resolution #07-56);AND,
WHEREAS,the Iowa Utilities Board requires an entity with transmission pipeline
experience to oversee the operation,maintenance and safety management of said project;
AND,
WHEREAS,a Technical Services Agreement with Black Hills Energy,formerly Aquila,has
been reviewed by the City Attorney and City staff,who recommend approval;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa
on this 1"day of December 2008 that the Technical Services Agreement with Black Hills
Energy/Iowa Gas Utility Company,LLC,is hereby approved.
