RESOLUTION 09-17
APPROVING THE MAYOR'S APPOINTMENT OF THE PRIMARY AND ALTERNATE
MEMBER FOR THE DES MOINES AREA METROPOLITAN PLANNING
ORGANIZATION (MPO)AND THE PRIMARY AND ALTERNATE MEMBER FOR THE
DES MOINES AREA MPO TRANSPORTATION AND TECHNICAL COMMITTEE FOR
THE YEAR 2009
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee must annually appoint or reappoint representatives to the Des
Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO)and the MPO Transportation Technical
Committee (MPO TTC);AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee has one primary representative and one altemate representative on
both the MPO and on the MPO TTC;AND,
WHEREAS,for the calendar year 2009,Mayor William F.Peard has appointed himself as the
primary representative and City Administrator/Clerk J effrey L.Kooistra as the altemate
representative to the MPO;AND,
WHEREAS,for the calendar year 2009,Mayor William F,I'eard has appointed Director of
Development Services Brad Deets as the primary representative,and City Administrator/Clerk
Jeffrey L.Kooistra and City Planner Ben Landhauser as the alternate representatives to the MPO
TIC,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this 5th
day of January,2009,that it hereby approves the Mayor's appointments to the Metropolitan
Planning Organization and to the Metropolitan Planning Organization Transpo ation Technical
Committee.
