APPROVING INSTALLATION OF STREETLIGHT PROPOSAL FROM
MIDAMERICAN ENERGY COMPANY [NW LOTH STREET IMPROVEMENTS
PROJECT FROM W HICKMAN ROAD TO DOUGLAS PARKWAY — PHASE 2,

IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized
Municipal Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, MidAmerican Energy proposes to install Phase 2 streetlights on NW 10t' Street
from NW Douglas Parkway to NW Sunrise Drive to accommodate the NW I Oh Street and
NW Sunrise Drive Improvement project; AND,
WHEREAS, MidAmerican Phase 1 streetlight proposal was approved by City Council on
October 5, 2020 regular City Council meeting for an estimated cost of $119,818.07, AND;
WHEREAS, the street lights will be installed on steel poles and will be served by
underground conductors but will be billed to the City at the wood pole, overhead rate with
Phase 2 estimated cost of $242,438.63;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee that
the Installation of Streetlight Proposal from MidAmerican Energy [NW 10t' Street
Improvements Project from W Hickman Road to Douglas Parkway] is hereby approved.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa, and approved this the 191h day of
April, 2021.
