RESOLUTION 08-19
APPROVING THE CHAPTER 28E AGREEMENT FOR THE UTILIZATION OF
FUNDS FOR THE ACQUISITION AND DEVELOPMENT OF A RECREATION TRAIL
BETWEEN DALLAS COUNTY CONSERVATION BOARD,DALLAS COUNTY,IOWA
AND THE CITIES OF WAUKEE,IOWA;DALLAS CENTER,IOWA;MINllURN,
IOWA;PERRY,IOWA;AND DAWSON,IOWA
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,an agreement under Iowa Code Chapter 28E has been negotiated by and between
the Dallas County Conservation Board and the Cities of Waukee,Dallas Center,Minburn,Perry
and Dawson for the utilization of funds for the acquisition and development of a recreation trail
within the abandoned Union Pacific Railroad right-of-way;AND,
WHEREAS,said agreement will formalize the group that has been meeting on the project and to
provide reconunendations for grant funding received for the project;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa on
this the 21 st day of January,2008,that the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into the 28E
Agreement with the above-named entities for the utilization of funds for the acquisition and
development of a recreation trail.
