RESOLUTION 09-25
APPROVING AN ADDENDUM TO AGREEMENT 04-08-HDP-014 FOR FEDERAL AID,
NON-PRIMARY ffiGHWAY PROJECT (105TH STREET/ALICE'S ROAD 1-80
INTERCHANGE)
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State ofIowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,in February 2005,the cities of Waukee and West Des Moines entered into a
Federal Aid Agreement with the Iowa Department of Transportation for the administration of
federal funds related to the construction of the 105th Street/Alice's Road 1-80 Interchange
(Agreement Number 2005-16-083;City of Waukee Resolution #05-37);AND,
WHEREAS,in July and August 2008,the cities ofWaulcee and West Des Moines approved an
amended Iowa Department of Transportation Federal Aid Agreement for a Non-Primary
Highway Project (105th Street/Alice's Road 1-80 Interchange)(City of Waukee Resolution #08-
188);AND,
WHEREAS,as a result of additional requirements by the Federal Highway Administration to
increase project involvement by the Iowa Department of Transportation on interstate projects,an
addendum to the Federal Aid Agreement is proposed;AND,
WHEREAS,the cities ofWaulcee and West Des Moines have reviewed the addendum,find it
acceptable and recommend approval;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa on
this 2nd day of February 2009 that the Iowa Department of Transportation Addendum to
Agreement 04-08-HDP-014 for Federal Aid,Non-Primary Highway Project (105th Street/Alice's
Road 1-80 Interchange)is hereby approved.
lJE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City of Waukee is authorized to sign the
Agreement and the City Administrator/Clerk is directed to attest to the signature of the Mayor,
after which the Agreement shall be filed with the appropriate agencies.
