RESOLUTION 09-40
APPROVAL OF AN IOWA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
AGREEMENT FOR A REVITALIZE IOWA'S SOUND ECONOMY (RISE)
PROJECT
INTHENAMEANDBYTHEAUTHORITYOFTHECITYOFWAUKEE,JOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas
County;AND,
WHEREAS,on August 18,2008,the City Council of the City of Waukee directed staff
to file a formal application for Revitalize Iowa's Sound Economy (RISE)Program funds
in support of infrastrncture improvements to encourage economic development in a
planned business park located at Alice's Road and Hickman Avenue in Waukee
(Resolution #08-196);AND,
WHEREAS,the City was informed in a letter from the Iowa Department of
Transportation dated January 14,2009 that the RISE grant application was approved in
the amount of$469,210.00 or up to 50%of the total cost,whichever is less;AND,
WHEREAS,an agreement related to approval of the RISE grant application has been
submitted to the City by the Iowa Department of Transportation and has been reviewed
by the City Attorney;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 23'd day of Febrnary 2009 that it hereby approves an Iowa Department of
Transportation Agreement for a Revitalize Iowa's Sound Economy (RISE)P .oject.
