RESOLUTION FIXING A DATE FOR HEARING PURSUANT TO IOWA
CODE SECTION 384.102 RELATED TO THE CITY OF WAUKEE
NATURAL GAS UTILITY CAPACITY EXPANSION
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Waukee believes it is necessary and in the
best interest of the City to expand the capacity of the natural gas utility;and
WHEREAS,before plans,specifications and contract for the construction of the public
improvements are entered into,it is necessary,to advertise for bids and hold a public hearing.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee
that it is hereby determined that it is necessary and advisable to proceed with the procurement of
bids for the design,procurement and construction of necessary property and facilities related to
the capacity expansion ofthe utility.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that Notice to Bidders is hereby directed to be published
once in a legal newspaper.Publication shall be not less than twenty (20)days prior to January
17,2007,which is hereby fixed as the date for receiving bids.Said bids are to be filed prior to
2:00 o'clock p.m.,on said date.
Bids shall be received and opened at a public meeting as provided in the public notice
and the results of said bids shall be read on January 22,2007,at 2:05 o'clock p.rn.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that the Clerk be and is hereby directed to publish public
notice of hearing once in said newspaper,said publication to be not less than four (4)days nor
more than twenty (20)days prior to the date hereinafter fixed for a public hearing,said hearing to
be at 7:00 o'clock p.m.onJanuary 22,2007.
