RESOLUTION 07-13
ACCEPTING THE PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT WORK UNDERTAKEN UNDER
THE 2005 SIDEWALK PROGRAM FOR NON-PETITION AND WAIVERS AND
ORDERING PAYMENT AND DETERMINING THE AMOUNT TO BE
ASSESSED AGAINST PRIVATE PROPERTY IN THE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee moved forward with the assessment proceedings in
connection with the 2005 sidewalk program;AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee requested Veenstra and Kimm,Inc.to provide
professional engineering services on the project;AND,
WHEREAS,the engineer has filed a certificate of completion after having inspected the
work,indicating the work has been completed in accordance with the contract,including
$4,940.55 for the sidewalk installation plus $3,314.95 for engineering and legal fees for a
total cost ofthe completed work totaling $8,255.50.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 8th day of January 2007 that it hereby accepts the work completed under the
2005 sidewalk program.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that payment is hereby authorized to the contractor,T.
Peters,LLC.,in accordance with the terms of the contracts with the contractor for the
construction ofthe public improvement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the total costs to be assessed against the properties
in the assessment district shall be $8,255.50,assessed 100%against the properties in t e
assessment district.
