RESOLUTION 07-37
APPROVAL OF SALE OF PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT EQUIPMENT AND THE
DISPOSITION OF EQUIPMENT FOR WIDCH BID PROPOSALS WERE NOT
RECEIVED
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa,is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS,on January 22,2007,the Waukee City Council directed City staff to pursue the
sale of Public Works Department equipment (Resolution #07-22),described as follows:
1)1988 Ford F-800 Dump Truck with snowplow and sander
(YIN #lFDPK84A4SVA56159),and
2)1985 International Dump Truck with snowplow (YIN #lHTLOMYPZGHAI0941);
WHEREAS,notice of sale was published in the Dallas County News on January 25,2007 with
February 5,2007 at 2:00 p.m.at Waukee City Hall as the date,time and place for receipt of bids
for said property;AND,
WHEREAS,no bid proposals were received for the 1988 Ford F-800 Dump Truck and a single
bid proposal of $500.00 was received from Tom Perkins,401 8th St.,West Des Moines,for the
1985 International Dump Truck;AND,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa on
this the 12th day of February 2007 that it hereby approves the sale ofthe1985 International Dump
'Iruck with snowplow (YIN #lHTLOMYPZGHA10941)to Tom Perkins in the amount of
$500.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the 1988 Ford F-800 Dump Truck with snowplow and
sander (VIN #lFDPK84A4SVA56159),for which no bid proposals were received,shall be
salvaged at the discretion of the Director of Public Works.
